Yet another miraculous feat from a master of sound design, Alessandro Cortini’s Forse 1-3 were all composed entirely with an original Buchla Music Easel, an extremely rare and confounding piece of equipment. Cortini wields it like a master, coaxing beautifully high-pitched tones and earth-shaking low end on each curiously titled tracks across the entire collection. This long-overdue reissue of Cortini’s full Forse series comes out on a beautifully packaged CD box set courtesy of the ever eclectic Massachusetts independent label Important Records.
