Cairde EP
Furthur Electronix
Catalogue Number
Release Date
December 10, 2021

Co-founder of Bars of Beats and founder of PSU record labels, Bobo lands on Furthur Electronix for the first time with an extended EP packed full of tuneful and melodic braindance, breakbeats and bass. The production is expansive and punchy, and the tracks inhabit an extra-terrestrial liminal space without being sparse - skilfully constructed from this talented artist. Cairde sets the scene with floating chords and a fervent acid line before the kicks land. DO1712 and Everlasting are optimistic wide-eyed journeys pinned to tight breakbeat framework. The B side takes a more foreboding approach, with the lurching bass and delayed vocals of Format and radio broadcast samples describing an atom bomb in Param before the beatless closer Tranquil. The Cairde EP sees Bobo succeed in a number of modes in quick succession.

  1. 1 Cairde 1:32
  2. 2 DO1712 1:32
  3. 3 Everlasting 1:32
  4. 4 Format 1:32
  5. 5 Param 1:32
  6. 6 Tranquil 1:32
