Fresh off some high-profile production collabs with the likes of Shygirl and Caroline Polachek, Sega Bodega’s fourth LP explores a fictional relationship with a being made entirely of light. Sci-fi concepts aside, the Irish-born artist continues to impress with his ability to compress disparate elements from the worlds of pop, avant-garde, and dance music into his own unique sound. From the trunk-rattling cheerleader rhymes of ‘Your Friends Think I’m Too Young For You’ to the tabla-assisted (and downright religious) ‘Luci’ there were few records out in 2021 with this kind of range.
