Genres
Italian saxophonist Laura Agnusdei’s textural delicacy Laurisilva from 2019 probed the corners of an imagined forest soundscape, with each electronic pulse imagined as a blossoming organism in an eco-system. Now Jay Glass Dubs steps behind the controls to give us two dub reworks of percussion and sax heavy ‘Jungle Shuffle’, one with hypnotic yet distant rhythms and one beatless. Always gestural, never rigid, the remixes stick to the mantra emblazoned on the green screen printed cover ‘To define is to kill. To suggest is to create.’
