As head of UK labels The Mistry and No Symbols, Beneath has spent the last 10 years exploring techno, dub and UK funky. On Numbers Talk, his first Livity Sound release, Beneath hones the template set out on his On Tilt EP (2021); kicking off with four to the floor intensity on ‘Fourth Time’ before expanding into the dense, synth-heavy dub of ‘Touch One’. Sparingly melodic, the four tracks here are united by their hard-edged drum processing and expressive sub bass.
