Bristol instrumental quartet SCALPING have become one of the UK’s most buzzed about bands largely off the hype from their searing, reportedly unmissable live gigs. Folding in influences like noise, EBM, techno, and post-punk into their dark churn, the group returns to Houndstooth with a winning remix EP boasting some of the biggest names in dance and rock. Scottish greats Mogwai slow the tempo of ‘Cloudburst’ into a menacing post-rock lurch, while AQXDM flips their 2020 single ‘Deadlock’ into a fantastic bit of head-knocking jungle, proving SCALPING indeed has an ear for the dancefloor.
