Bleep

Produced in response to growing up black in the French suburbs, this is a strident work exploring themes of inclusivity and equality while mapping out a new path entirely of its own. Released via James Ginzburg’s Subtext label, the monumental sonic universe veers through dramatic movements of enveloping noise and glacial landscapes. The final few tracks feature a conceptual study of his musical heritage through The Mensah Imaginary Band - taking its name from Niamké’s trumpet player grandfather who led a Ghanaian band in Ivory Coast in the 1950s and acted as a conductor at the country’s famed Abissa Festival.
