Finnish duo Morphology expand their future-facing electro mission to Exalt Records, having already converted the denizens of CPU, FireScope Records and Cultivated Electronics. As anyone in the know can already guess, Private Pressing EP is another densely packed disc of protracted electro shapes, neatly subverting expectations at every turn. The punchy opener ‘Inflexion’ breaks from the grid-lock with a choppy and unstoppable beat, while the likes of ‘Indefinite’ sends its precision drum programming into a mind-bending sway. When the duo aren’t mining the depths for heavy rhythms, the synthesis on the top end shines and shimmers like sunbeams on rippling water.
