Bleep

We weren't that convinced by Benga's recent album Benga Beats, even thought the early Big Apple ep's were brilliant.

We were too quick to judge as this ep puts him at the absolute top of the Dubstep/grime production pile. Comb 60s is an imaginative take on dubstep with a real 70's blacksploitation chase feeling, nice and fast with rushing drums and keys.

On the other side and equally as cinematic is the elegant Killers about, it's deceptivley simple start gives way to a tight and fresh half stepper with lots of stop start rhythms, big orchestral strings and effects. This is up there with Pinch's Qawwali as the best dubstep 12" planet-mu has put out so far.
