Chasing the Shadow of Bryn Jones 1983-88 issues much of Muslimgauze’s available output released between 1983 and 1988. It includes some of the earliest Muslimgauze material together with rare EPs ‘Hunting Out With an Aerial Eye’ and ‘Hammer & Sickle’. The majority of these albums were previously only released in small editions and this box set marks the first time they have been issued on a digital format. Essential for Muslimgauze fans.

Manchester-based musician Bryn Jones aka Muslimgauze was loosely associated with the UK’s underground industrial and leftfield electronic music scenes in the 1980s and was prolific until his unexpected death in 1999. Through seductive electronic landscapes, the Muslimgauze project explores themes of conflict, injustice and Middle Eastern history and culture and has since garnered a cult following.
