Esteemed imprint Workshop welcome back producer and DJ Sophie Wilson aka Willow for another disc of house elegance. Workshop 30 is a shining example of dodging the beat grid whilst still finding those immaculate rhythms, as each track sees Wilson nudging brainy, ethereal beats all over the place, working samples to their skittering limits. The likes of ‘Squirrel City’ have more than a hint of decay-drenched dub present, as whip-smart hi hats trace out the skeletal underpinning of the delicate house rhythm, recalling a quietly bustling dance under a sky full of stars.
