Peter Zinovieff was a highly influential figure on the development of electronic music, who sadly passed away in 2021. He founded the revolutionary Electronic Music Studios in 1969 where he would go on to develop synthesisers like the VCS3, AKS and the Synthi100 amongst many more. South Pacific Migration Party is a collection of manipulated recordings of blue whale calls, reinterpreting the sounds of the world’s largest creature as an artform. Arriving in 140g clear vinyl with a printed inner sleeve and booklet, it features texts by Peter Zinovieff, curator Stefanie Hessler, oceanographer Susannah Buchan and label head Andrew Spyrou.
