The second album of Hamburg-based ambient techno producer Edanticonf, ‘The Story of Q’, unfurls synth pads with spacious digital processing. Since his debut with ‘Forest Echo’ in 2012, Edanticonf’s compositions have communicated a perception of the infinite, guiding listeners through an introspective journey. Gently ebbing and flowing, a warm and euphoric feeling stems from its refined minimalist textural pallet. The tender techno rhythms punctuating the simplicity of its movements conjures a sense of sublime with both organic and synthetic elements. An excellent follow up, it delivers an odyssey in fine style.
