"I pretty much love all electronic music genres such as electro, trance, house and dubstep, but my heart is definitely with Drum & Bass", says Joey Jensen, born and raised in Denmark but relocated with his parents to California at the end of the ninetees. He now is a trained Sound Engineer, who has been involved in the audio for live concerts for numerous big names, including The Eagles, U2, Pendulum, TiÃ«sto, Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren.

Three years ago he was introduced to making electronic music. Combining his professional knowledge of sound with his passion for electronic music, he started to create his own tracks as "Obsidian". Contacting labels through SoundCloud has paid off for Joey, as he now has a number of releases lined up on various labels, with Process Recordings proud to be delivering his debut release: "Space Cruise EP".

We have picked three tracks more towards the electro and dubstep side of things. The title track "Space Cruise" is very much a crossover between electro and dubstep (Electrodub?). "Believe It" displays Obsidian's love for DnB, whilst things go real dubstep on the final track "First Contact".

We'll undoubtedly be hearing more from Obsidian during 2010, but we kick off with Space Cruise EP, out on Process Recordings on 22 February.
