Sublime post-Merriweather psych-pop from New Zealand's Ruby Suns. Fight Softly is a warm, luxuriant blanket of saturated synth, ecstatic harmonies toying in a pool of big choruses and infectious melody snakes. Elsewhere Ryan Mcphun and co. roll out a squashed, rubbed out line in bumped up drum-beats on a Toro Y Moi, Nite Jewel, Washed Out tip and trade in some delicious tropicalia strings and exotic guitar shapes.
