A composer at heart engulfed by the world of techno electronica, CiM returns on Delsin Records with another striking melding of musicality and rhythmic inversion. The analogue warmth of synthesisers and by-ear quantification makes Unselected ProTracker Mods a welcoming release from the producer, each track a perfectly contained biome of bubbly tones and vivacious beats made using primitive gear between 1996 and 1998. Listen close to the likes of ‘Metric’, even the crackling of imperfect drum programming has a strange allure.
