I Know This Much Is True is the original score from the HBO series of the same name by Harold Budd - a wonderful ambient ostinato made only more poignant by the passing of Harold Budd late last year. This is essential gear for fans of either the series or of Budd’s impeccable sound. Best known for his solo work and collaborations with Brian Eno almost four decades ago, this OST finds him in vintage form crafting emotive tapestries with piano, strings and electronic elements. Like all good soundtracks, this more than stands up on its own as an isolated listen.
