All-round jazz favourite Matthew Halsall kicks off Gondwana’s super-special 7” collection series with some undisputed classics of the new school. ‘Badder Weather’ and ‘As I Walk’ both feature long-time Halsall collaborator Josephine Oniyama, her vocal performance a tasty balance between torch song longing and soul-filled storytelling, drawing out reams of luscious melody across the measured, modal pace of Halsall and his Gondwana Orchestra.
