The folks over at Alessandro Adriani’s Mannequin Records must have let out a screech of excitement when they unearthed this gem. Nocturnal Emissions co-founder and architect of UK industrial music Caroline K had a punt at making her very own ‘Blue Monday’ in 1983 with ‘Mirror Ball’; all freeze-dried drum programming, hypnagogic chant-like ad-libs and stuttering sequencers. This disc comes with a remix from Adriani, in which he reveals the deep techno potentialities of K’s original track.
