True to DDS form, Jim O’Rourke delivers two extended modular voyages on crystal clear vinyl. Clocking in over half an hour across two sides, it’s equally similar to old library music experimental synth records as it is to the cutting edge contemporary work of someone like Alva Noto or Autechre. Made using a bespoke Hordijk modular system, O’Rourke sculpts mini universes in petri dishes of digital debris, signals and drones.
