Istanbul-based veteran producer Grup Ses dives back into the archives for more off-the-wall beatmaking aesthetics. There’s something Stones Throw and Brainfeeder about Beats from the Vaults (2008 - 2021), reimagined from a different place entirely. Traditional Turkish instrumentation and samples lifted from radio plays and live performances blend and meld with the whip-crack of hip-hop production, invoking a rich world of sounds and intoxicating vibes.
