Next up in Altered Sense’s long line of acid and electro drops comes an especially trance-inducing number from long-standing Hamburg producer and ex-German hip-hop mainstay Carsten Schulz aka Quadratschulz. Schulz brings his customary, homegrown developments to the fore in fine form, concocting a synchronistic miasma of after-school arcade jabs, electro velocity and non-stop space arps, whilst also injecting a welcoming propulsion lifted out of heyday rave bangers. The four parts of AS010 form a micro-journey through space and time, where the rhythm offers a guiding light through a world of icy pads and snaking melodies.
