Change by Anika is her first solo album in eight years, following on from past collaborations with a varied array of artists including BEAK> and Tricky. A British expat living outside the ring in East Berlin, it’s an introspective reflection that takes many adventurous sonic forms. There are hints of Stereolab, Nico and Janis Joplin in her vocal delivery, moving through wistful folk, psychedelic pop and organic electronica across nine tracks.
