A few months into Blueprint Records’ year-long celebration of the imprint's 25th anniversary, and the good stuff simply won’t stop coming. A stellar disc by two UK techno luminaries Mark Broom and James Ruskin, both long-time key members of the extended Blueprint family, was bound to happen in 2021, and Basement Jams 2 holds zero disappointments. Adept at offering up fine hardware bangers from the darker edges of acidic techno, the duo pull from their storied sensibilities to craft five tracks full of bass heavy bombast and funked up allure.
