The first new Concretism album in 3 years, Teliffusion follows on from For Concrete and Country of 2018. Inspired by the concept of the now mostly obsolete format of tape, having worked with it in various formats with a career in audio post-production himself for many years. Musically, it’s a nostalgic float down memory lane seeking to revive the spirit of those days and formats, with painstakingly detailed sound down to the last tape warble and drift of tape hiss. It’s essentially eighties-leaning electronica with warm synth layers and chugging slow arpeggio, with blissfully cinematic moments like the title track.
