London-based keyboardist, composer, producer and jazz darling Joe Armon-Jones kicks off his own Aquarii Records imprint with a stellar single. ‘Pray’ is a grand promise of things to come that is also a fabulous realisation of Armon-Jones’ rapidly developing craft. A sultry, shuffling tune akin to a Flying Lotus jam, enveloping the listener in an amniotic world long after its 7-minute runtime, the track features black midi’s Morgan Simpson on drums and Nubiyan Twist’s Luke Wynter on bass.
