Bleep

Perila is Russian artist Aleksandra Zakharenko, a St Petersburg native who has resided in Berlin for the last six years. Alongside her show on beloved community radio BCR, she kept a “sonic diary” of field recordings and electronic experimentation, which are presented here alongside the spoken word poetics of Nat Marcus and Inger Wold Lund. Its eleven compositions traverse industrial ambience, musique concrete, sprawling soundscaping and warmly emotive Basinski-esque collages.
