Beechwood DNA is the new EP from Alphonse on Luca Lozano’s Klasse Wrecks. Across its four tracks, it traverses breakbeat, deep house (the original kind) and summery acid, showcasing a nostalgic representation of Alphonse’s electronic influences. ‘Everstar’ sounds almost like it could’ve been a crossover hit from the early 00’s with ‘Fanatic’ being pure late eighties power-house - but there’s a depth beyond simple nostalgia which stands on its own merit.
