We’re having a quick flurry of excellent releases from Further Electronix at 2021’s mid-point, but the latest offering from underground newcomer Pera Sta Ori sees producer George Kontogiannidis hitting his stride with his most satisfying record yet. Sick Απan continues Kontogiannidis’ incredibly prolific run of breakbeat belters — and while we’re not given much of a track listing here, the melee of warped electronics and hi-velocity amen breaks and drum programming pushes the producer beyond the ‘one to watch’ tag. The EP goes incredibly hard, but there’s also a sweet synthesist mentality poured into the fray of snares and hi hats.
