Electronic duo DohnavuÌr return with this refreshingly varied album for Scottish Castles in Space label. Tracks ranging from the Joseph Shabason calmness of ‘New Objectivity’, the dub-techno of ‘Sestriere’ to the harpsichord beats of ‘The Kindness of Others,’ which is just missing Elizabeth Fraser’s vocals until it becomes a Teardrop follow-up. The subsequent build-up tracks lead onto the joyful MPC-laden ‘Twenty There’ which sees a turning point into wind down time. ‘Five to Return’ sees cash desk snares closing before the final track, which is a hypnotic moment of dark contemplation.
