Atol Scrap, a true cult classic in the realm of early 2000’s glitch and electronica, comes to vinyl for the first time with a fresh remaster by Kassian Troyer. Released during a time of fervent digital exploration by artists in the abstract hip-hop and micro-house genres, the masterful treatment of sounds and attention to detail here remains a marvel in itself. The true joy of Arovane’s work is in his wistful melodies, which are here in plentiful supply - most memorably on the haunting ‘Thaem Nue’.
