Groovy forest dwellers Snapped Ankles return to their wooded studio to find the wilderness tapered and tidied by land developers and moneymen — much to their chagrin. Forest of Your Problems feels as chaotic and psychedelic as anything Snapped Ankles have ever put to wax, but there’s an increased level of fury in the airy, kraut measures of this record’s title track; the pitter-patter of hollow wood propels the tune forward, ignited by meaty bass and the unhindered whip of synthesised sonic textures before a vocal peers out through the brush like Mark E Smith enrobed in mossy, shamanic gear.
