Everyday Dust is a composer, sound designer and artist based in Scotland, using a selection of analogue synths, outboard fx and tape machines to create narrative-led electronic music with heavy influences from the likes of Terry Riley and Steve Reich. Black Water centres on the age old tale of the Loch Ness monster, a hunt which has proved elusive for all who’ve tried for generations and which is soundtracked in painstaking cinematic detail here. Everyday Dust show themselves to be a deft hand at building tension and painting sonic images, with sub-aquatic, murky scenes conjured up through expertly synthesised constructs.
