Born from Derek Maxwell and Shawn Reed’s mutual love for mobile sound systems and Jamaican music, Feel Free Hi Fi has been at the forefront of dancehall experimentation since 2016. For Prophet Noir, lyricist and vocalists Eddie Hill and Manic Times join the extended family by spitting bombastic poetry across a particularly industrial, apocalyptic form of dancefloor fire. The likes of ‘Nosferatu’ and ‘Hyena’ veer into the territory of spacious dub, as a steady roll of drum machine rhythms reach a clattering high on ‘Flex’. ‘Perilous’ is a microcosm of their collective sound, as jagged synths tread the line between white hot sunshine and smog-covered wastelands.

Prophet Noir is a 6 track 12" of dystopian industrial dancehall experimental-ism created by Twin Cities Sound System Feel Free Hi Fi featuring the vocal powers of eclectic Brooklyn MC Eddie Hill and vagabond lyricist Manic Times.
