Following on from 2020’s I Miss Raving EP on Local Action, Elkka delivers a five track of colourful house for Ninja Tune’s Technicolour. On the surface it’s jaunty, bright and melody-led like you’d expect from the likes of Studio Barnhus, but there’s delicate detailing and subtle melodic kinks which elevate it beyond dancefloor tackle. ‘Alexandra’, a richly detailed sample and arp symphony, is a standout in the Floating Points mould.
