The latest emission from trailblazing East London label AD 93 comes courtesy of Anunaku, following a breakbeat-led foray on Martyn’s 3024. ‘Spirale’ circles around a spoken word mantra, adorned with vocal flourishes and dripping in percussive fragments, slowly building with a subdued majesty. ‘Ninfea’ is muted, pulsing techno at its core, elevated onto warehouse scale with morphing vocal & synth leads. ‘Luminosa’ runs with a similar palette before diving into breakbeats with panoramic pads. Operating in cleaner, more timeless territory than earlier AD 93 releases, 042 is sure to light up dancefloors across the spectrum.
