Mint Condition, a reissue label focusing on unearthing gems from the farther reaches of classic house and techno over the last two years, present this double LP by Kenny Larkin. The Vanguard EP was originally released in 1992 under the alias POD, which is featured in full here along with the addition of ‘Chinese Checkers’ - another sought after rarity taken from a compilation which followed a few years after. Like much of the top end Detroit techno from this era, it has aged very well - ‘Northern Lights’ especially marks itself as a standout with tight production values and subtle melodies.
