Decca and Blue Note brings us There Is No End - a posthumous compilation led by Tony Allen. Written in the year before his passing at the age of 79 in 2020, the long list of featured artists include Skepta, Sampa The Great, Lava La Rue, Danny Brown, Damon Albarn amongst many others. It’s hard to quantify Tony Allen’s influence on the musical landscape - from his time as the polyrhythmic percussive engine for some of Fela Kuti’s finest work through to latter day work with Berlin-based Italo-funk duo Nu Guinea, his work spanned many decades and enamored countless many along the way.
