Egyptian producer ZULI has earned himself a shorter release after the no-holds-barred drum n bass onslaught of his sprawling debut double LP Terminal — but his All Caps EP shows that devastating hard-hitters is just his natural state of being. He begins at 100 mph with ‘Tany’ and stops for zero breaks thereafter, as quickfire amen breaks zip by like a speeding freight train. The likes of ‘Bassous’ and ‘Where Do You Go’ fly by even faster without derailment, but the latter showcases ZULI’s wicked sensibility for tension, as a furious mele of noise and vocal samples pull into the low end without deceleration.
