You’d think that such an acclaimed disc would’ve seen countless reissues by now, but here we are, three years later and the world is finally catching up. German producer Ludwig A.F. — then known as Ludwig A.F. Röhrscheid — strikes an unbeatable balance with Velocity, landing somewhere between ambient house and hard-hitting techno, without falling into any of the usual trappings. The title track is a capital-c Classic, a breakbeat led number poked and prodded by a series of rave stabs and looming pads, while the likes of ‘Exoplanet’ build icy biomes over dubby chimes.
