Zopelar, a multi-instrumentalist and producer based in São Paulo, returns to Steven Julien’s Apron records with the vinyl release of Universo, following his cassette album Joy of Missing Out last year. Much like the first outing, Universo sees Zopelar turn his hand to vintage-hued boogie, downtempo house and all things soulful. Featuring an edit of the title track by the label owner himself, it touches on many shades of electronic funk from DamFunk to Roger & Zapp.
