Parisian purveyor of esoteric techno and house Bambounou kicks off his new imprint Bambe, following excellent contributions to notable labels like AD93 (formerly Whities) & 50WEAPONS. Title track ‘Cascade’ opens as a statement of intent - showcasing the strand of hypnotic, monochrome body music he has honed so well on past releases. ‘Up A While’, featuring the vocals of Manuel Hildebrand, injects some sci-fi-inflected soul into the formula to dazzling effect. ‘Craig Py’ takes proceedings back into more subterranean, percussive territory with ‘Send When You Land’ finishing up on a sparser, sub-heavy tip. A very versatile EP for more discerning dancefloors.
