Dinosaur Jr return with their fifth studio album since reforming, and it sounds as if J. Mascis et al never left. They have a signature sound as recognisable as any of the American indie greats, owing especially to Mascis’s vocals but also their dynamic, buoyant energy overall, which abounds freely on Sweep It Into Space. Featuring guest contributions from the excellent Kurt Vile, it’s a carefree trip which fans will love.
