Buffalo Tide is Christopher Oliver, a sound designer and audio artist with a background in installations and exhibition-based collaborations. Sleep Dealer is his second full length album, a narrative-led collection of emotive beatless pieces and hi-definition avant-garde beat work. Fans of Oneohtrix Point Never and Arca will enjoy Oliver’s oscillations between the many cinematic emotional peaks and stylistic left turns, with ‘Tokyo Cold Vein’ being a particularly enjoyable tribal drum dirge.
