Another View rounds up a brilliantly fruitful and mutually respectful period of collaboration between Ride guitarist and vocalist Andy Bell and Martin Jenkins aka Pye Corner Audio, who have since found the neat sweet spot in the Venn diagram of singer-songwriterly craft and electronic production. The bulk of this disc is dedicated to Pye Corner’s chugging, synth-heavy remix work on cuts like ‘Cherry Cola’ and ‘Love Comes In Waves’, each of which has been repurposed from Bell’s Ever Decreasing Circles set of EPs, while a lovey set of Bell solo acoustic versions wraps things up at the tail end.
