Inspired by her first European tour, during which she gathered a set of like-minded admirers, Tokyo-based underground idol Tentenko enlists a cohort of producers to remix her tunes. An artist operating in the vein of Japan’s incredibly stylish and innovative 1990s pop, the experimental techno turn of An Antworten EP would appear to be a radical change from her J-pop infused 2018 self-titled LP, but the off-the-wall abstractions of Toulouse Low Trax, Mix Mup, Kassem Mosse and Nika Son are a perfect match for the adventurousness of Tentenko’s vision.
