Dutchman Boris Bunnik (AKA Conforce) dons two of his lesser-known aliases for a scintillating barrage of analog synth squelches, sci-fi scene pads and complex layers of organic percussion. Sitting somewhere in between techno, house and electro, each of the cuts finds a different way to spin and contort the rhythmic maze in Bunnik’s mind. ‘A1’ is a bruising, broken-beat techno track fit for the peak hours of strobe-lit basements. As it tees up a lush, melodic ‘A2’, the contrast is clear but Bunnik switches between moods with masterful guile.
