Heliochrysum is a new project located in LA, California, made up of two accomplished sound designers and composers in their own right - Michael Deragon and Daniel Lea. With mixing provided by Ben Frost and mastering by label head Valgeir Sigurðsson, Forbidden Structures is a panoramic exploration of the duo’s monolithic auditory world across four deeply cinematic tracks. Made using both analogue and digital recording techniques, the high calibre of both artists is evident in their treatment of sounds and ability to craft cavernous, sci-fi soundscapes. A tour-de-force in contemporary audio storytelling, Forbidden Structures makes a perfect soundtrack to an imaginary film.
