Danny Wolfers, the Dutch producer sometimes known as Legowelt, dons his Dickie Smabers moniker for another vintage synth escapade. While his Legowelt alias delivers on the front of modern techno revelry, there’s always a hint of anarchic abandon on his Dickie Smabers releases. True to form, the main thrust of Jammed From The Fist is off-kilter dancefloor ammunition crafted in the experimental electronic tradition; it pops with analogue fuzz as if it’s come straight from the 1970s of an alternative reality, where the electro-dystopia bass of ‘Paradox Den Haag’ and the wavy, Kraftwerk-esque synths of ‘Men Akai uit de Vogelwijk’ soundtrack an imagined post-apocalyptic drama.
