Calibre & DRS recall the spacious dub mixes of Mark Ernestus by inviting the legend himself to make an appearance. The Bad & Badder disc takes Ernestus’ ‘Badman’ and strips it down to some bare essentials in two hits. Side A’s ‘Bad’ supplies a steady rhythm to the low end and adorns its synth swells with a ghostly resonance, while side B’s ‘Badder’ ups the grain factor and builds the tension with the addition of a scurrying hi-hat.
